Michael Liberty is co-founder and chief product officer at commerce protection provider Signifyd. He co-founded Signifyd in 2011, sharing his co-founder Raj Ramanand’s belief that online merchants were at a disadvantage when it came to the requirement that they accept liability for credit card fraud. Prior to Signifyd, Liberty was the manager of new ventures risk at PayPal, where he led all fraud and risk management initiatives for digital goods. Before PayPal, Liberty worked at GWC Warranty, where he was director of business development and then chief operating officer. Prior to GWC, he was an associate at CIVIC Partners and an analyst at JPMorgan. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s of economics from the University of Chicago.
